IT Management

This Department can be broken down into three different areas:

IT SERVICES:

IT Service providers, offering System Integration, Infrastructure and Application Management Outsourcing, Managed Services and IT Consulting, continue to invest both high value added offerings for specific market segments or customers, as well as highly efficient, large-scale delivery capabilities in low cost countries. IRG has assisted many of these IT Service Providers by attracting top talent and utilising our extensive sector-knowledge to relay this talent in the appropriate areas.

IRG boasts specialist industry specific technology recruitment consultants, with the expertise and networks to not only penetrate the market effectively and quickly but to also act as “strategic advisors” to their clients within the technology market, including IT recruitment and information security recruitment.

OUTSOURCING:

The outsourcing of a technical operation is by no means a new concept, however, the number of companies who can do this and the efficiency of how they do it has increased significantly over the years. An organisation will choose to outsource its IT primarily for the purpose of reducing costs and improving business effectiveness, allowing your organisation to focus on its core business activity. Companies in this area can offer everything from full global infrastructure management and high level strategic consultancy to project specific design and implementation services; and there is a significant choice of suppliers in this extremely competitive market.

IRG has worked in the IT Outsourcing market for many years and we have seen this market evolve and mature. It is because of this experience and development along-side the sector that we can offer the finest service and expertise.
A number of the larger telecommunications operators helped pioneer the facility, offering the development of their services from WAN providers to fully managed and integrated WAN and LAN providers. Having this initial foothold in the market has enabled us to track the changes and advancements in this area, and understand who the most successful businesses are. We work with companies such as these global corporations, the main consultancies and integrators as well as more specialist organisations, placing individuals who are skilled in selling these high-value services (along with the key individuals who programme manage the migration and the individuals who manage the operations).

IT STRATEGY:

Businesses of any size or market sector benefit from having a coherent strategy to structure IT growth, by controlling expenditure and providing a framework for the adoption of new hardware, applications and technologies.

An IT Strategy needs to be a forward viewing document, but with the pace of technological change and the complexities of the IT market, it can be very difficult to look into the future and understand which innovations will be cost effective and of benefit to your business. Any useful strategy should not only take account of where you want your business to be, but where you are at present, and should consider how best to leverage existing investment to achieve your goals.

It’s also critical to review your strategy on a routine basis to ensure it continues to track business requirements. The technology market is changing, and fast. The need for individuals to respond to this is paramount. No longer are candidates or clients prepared to spend huge amounts on IT, instead they are beginning to see the importance of reducing cost and improving services both internally and to their customers. Here at IRG, we ourselves are consistently dealing with this area within our own company, so we understand just how crucial it is to have the right person in this department. Our thorough understanding of the area ensures that we not only deliver the very best candidates possible, but we can guarantee that same understanding is brought across with our candidates.
